Mindwaves 2012

It may be tiny, but this issue of Mindwaves is condensed with the rich and diverse, and most stylistically sophisticated non-fiction short stories that the Professional Writing Program had to offer this past school year.

I worked as part of the editorial team to judge more than 100 submission entries that came in and to select which stories to forward in the judging process. Having filtered the best from the good, we negotiated edits on each piece to strengthen its prose. The team pooled a repository of creative insight and intelligence to revise the to-be published stories.

I exercised my interpersonal skills and technical knowledge, as well as learned from my team members. I grew as an editor and as a professional.
