A writer, an editor, an illustrator (on paper and on screen), an amateur video editor, and a ball of curiosity, energy, entrepreneurship, and determination, I strive to be a versatile communications professional. I have dabbled in social media marketing, web information architecture with focus on SEO and user experience, print and web content creation, fundraising, and writing and editing books and other publications. Oh, and I published a book of short stories in 2011 titled Opening the Lampshade.
I aim to contribute my skills to organizations that demonstrate unquestionable integrity, thoughtfulness, and responsibility to its stakeholders and to the community in which it operates. I fight for poverty alleviation, raising awareness of health-related issues, and, of course, the environment.
Growing up in the countryside of the Philippines means growing up climbing trees during hide-and-seek, cultivating mung beans in the backyard, and forming a strong bond with nature. Environmental initiatives, therefore, hold a special place in my idealistic heart: I aspire to pair my communications background with a strong message about sustainability and conservation.
I dream of becoming well-versed enough in non-profit and/or environmental organizations so I can offer my services as a communications consultant, while owning a sustainable and viable farm business in the Philippines.
